Job Summary
Service Technician I maintains the physical condition and appearance of the community; performs routine maintenance, painting, cleaning and janitorial, and groundskeeping tasks; identifies problems, cleans, and completes routine service requests; performs painting in vacant homes; responds to resident requests with safe, timely repairs across trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, flooring, hardware & accessories, locks & keys, pool cleaning, drywall, trash systems); replaces light bulbs in common areas; pressure washes buildings/parking areas; inspects grounds/buildings for safety; promotes safe work practices; ensures compliance with Federal, State, and local laws, including Fair Housing; reports to Service/Community Manager and adapts day-to-day duties per supervisor guidance.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Experience performing maintenance duties helpful
- Multi-Family maintenance experience helpful
