Job Summary
Service/Repair Technician I is an entry-level role providing on-site support to Hobart Service customers, including installation and/or service of commercial food equipment. The role entails a routine schedule with on-call, after-hours, holiday, and weekend on-site repair support. Key competencies include mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, safety adherence, and strong customer service. The position requires knowledge of reading service manuals, basic math, and the ability to operate tools and equipment while maintaining safety standards; travel up to 50% and flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of electrical/mechanical experience
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking and/or refrigeration equipment is preferred
