Job Summary
Service Technician I performs assembling and disassembling mechanical projects, machine components, and equipment daily; conducts basic mechanical installations, maintenance operations, preventative maintenance and upgrades on wind energy and other industrial parts; repairs, replaces and inspects customer parts to meet specifications; assists paint team in sandblasting and industrial painting; performs basic oil maintenance on 65K gearboxes; troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems; works with quality to ensure ISO 9001 requirements are met; moves material using forklifts and cranes; packages finished goods for shipment; follows PPE, OSHA, and company policies; completes required paperwork accurately and timely; may be required to work overtime on short notice; travel to customer sites; contributes to maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess mechanical aptitude
- Able to read and interpret work instructions
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Perform basic Math skills
- Able to read/use a tape measure
- Basic computer skills
- Able to identify and operate basic hand tools and small power tools
- Able to travel to customer sites
- Must be an insurable driver
- Must pass a background check and drug test
