Job Summary
Diagnose residential appliance problems, repair, uninstall, and reinstall components across various brands while troubleshooting electrical, gas, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Clearly explain findings and repair options to customers, maintain accurate service records, and follow dispatch directions to manage multiple service calls efficiently. Perform work safely in customer homes and service facilities, operating company vehicles and adhering to all manufacturer standards and safety procedures. This full-time role offers a $14.00 hourly base plus 32% commission, with a company vehicle provided for eligible assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Valid driver's license
- Clean and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to drive for significant portions of the workday
- Ability to work inside customers' homes and in a service-shop environment
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs, ladders, or ramps
- Ability to reach at, below, and above shoulder level
- Ability to push, pull, lift, move, and position appliances, parts, tools, and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work in varied field conditions
- Ability to maintain enhanced safety awareness at customer and job sites
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to stay connected with dispatch, management, and the service team
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to completing work correctly
- Ability to manage multiple service calls, changing priorities, and seasonal demand
