Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and startup commercial HVAC equipment including DX systems up to 25 tons, heat pumps, and unit heaters. Log equipment conditions, communicate with team leads and customers, and complete assigned tasks with minimal call-backs. Drive to customer sites as needed, maintain company tools and vehicle, and observe unsafe work environments. Complete all paperwork accurately and timely. Participate in on-call rotation as required by business volume. Maintain a valid driver's license and pass background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial HVAC equipment
- Knowledge of basic refrigerant cycle, various heating components and air distribution systems
- Proficient with brazing, leak checking and the evacuation process
- Understands mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
- Ability to abide by basic safe work practices
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
- Universal EPA Certification
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to show up on time, ready to work and in uniform
- Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (maximum solo lift)
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (constant lifting)
