Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles by performing accurate diagnostics on mechanical and electrical issues. Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Test drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards. Maintain detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and services recommended. Work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. Occasionally communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Applicable certifications and technical trainings
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy parts and standing for extended periods
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
