Job Summary
Responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing repair, service, and maintenance work. Duties include examining customer vehicles, estimating repair costs, documenting services, and effectively utilizing technology to enhance customer experience. Requires thorough knowledge of automotive parts, demonstrable mechanical skills, a valid driver's license, and certification as a senior technician with respective manufacturer. Must maintain customer satisfaction index (CSI) standards and comply with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge
- Technical training or commensurate technical experience
- Basic computer skills to utilize timekeeping system
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in automotive service
- Certified/senior technician with respective manufacturer
- State inspection/emissions license
- Completion of manufacturer training for warranty repairs/recalls and maintenance
