Job Summary
Service Technician responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repairs under supervision, diagnosing problems from customer complaints and inspections, coordinating with the parts department, documenting work on repair orders, and supporting the service department to deliver quality customer service. Roles include road testing, participating in manufacturer-supported training, staying updated on technical bulletins, inspecting for safety and drivability, and maintaining a clean, organized shop while complying with regulations. Requires basic to intermediate vehicle-system knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn; prior automotive technician experience is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician or related mechanical experience preferred but not required
- Basic to intermediate mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
- WV State Inspection license preferred but not required
- Professional appearance and demeanor
