Job Summary
Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance on materials handling equipment while diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments. Install, commission, and test equipment as required, providing technical support and advice to customers regarding operation and maintenance. Maintain accurate service records, job documentation, and parts usage while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures. Collaborate with other technicians and departments to achieve customer and operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive, Diesel Fitting or a related field preferred
- Current driver's licence
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience servicing and repairing forklifts, access equipment, construction equipment, or similar machinery advantageous
- Forklift licence and other relevant licences/tickets advantageous
