Job Summary
The Service Technician will diagnose and repair GE Appliances’ major in-home units, operate a service van along an assigned route, complete invoices and close calls, maintain van inventory and safety PPE, attend required trainings, and promote GE Appliances parts and accessories while achieving productivity and customer-satisfaction goals. Responsibilities include appliance diagnosis and in-home repairs (including sealed system work when applicable), conducting site visits across assigned locations, following safety procedures, and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality service.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability/experience diagnosing and repairing major appliances
- Valid state driver’s license
- EPA, State Department and Technician college’s license
- CFC Certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience or certifications in appliance repair (master-level license holders may qualify)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong communication skills
- Self-directed and team-oriented
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
- Flexibility to work variable hours including overtime
- Proven safety awareness and physical ability to lift parts (min. 58 lbs) and operate service tools
