Job Summary
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair work on BYD electric vehicles, including troubleshooting high-voltage components and battery systems. Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards while ensuring efficient use of parts and tools. Complete repairs right the first time to minimize vehicle downtime and support Electronic Vehicle Check (EVC) reporting. Follow all high-voltage safety procedures, workshop processes, and 5S standards while working closely with supervisors to deliver exceptional customer service. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV technology and the latest automotive innovations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and automotive systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical manuals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or equivalent technical qualification
- 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Service Technician, General Repair Technician, or EV Technician
- Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
- Valid UAE driving license
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of EV technology, battery systems, and charging systems is preferred
- Experience working on Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Hybrid Vehicles is highly preferred
- EV or High-Voltage (HV) certification is an advantage
- Good understanding of electrical, electronic, and high-voltage vehicle systems
- Passion for new technologies and electric mobility
