Job Summary
Install propane tanks and related equipment in full compliance with NFPA 58/54 and all state/local regulations while conducting daily vehicle inspections and maintaining your truck. Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day, providing seasonal delivery support by operating a delivery vehicle when needed. Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately to the General Manager. Work in varied outdoor conditions and participate in an on-call rotation as business needs require. Shadow a senior technician during your first 30 days to learn safety standards and installation methods before performing supervised tank installations.
Required Qualifications
- Class A OR B CDL
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- TSA Clearance Approved Hazardous Materials
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in after-hours on‐call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or related technical work
- Familiarity with propane systems, NFPA standards, and industry regulations
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn propane installation practices
- Strong customer communication and professional presence
- Basic computer skills for service orders and documentation
