Job Summary
As a Service Technician, you will install propane tanks and equipment while adhering to NFPA standards and local regulations. Responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining documentation, providing delivery support, and working outdoors in various conditions. The position requires a Class A or B CDL with tanker and Hazmat endorsements, the ability to lift 75 lbs, and participation in an on-call rotation. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, with additional training on propane safety and state-specific compliance provided upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Class A OR B CDL
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsements (or ability to obtain quickly)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- TSA Clearance Approved Hazardous Materials
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and participate in after-hours on‐call rotation
Desired Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or related technical work
- Familiarity with propane systems, NFPA standards, and industry regulations
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn propane installation practices
- Strong customer communication and professional presence
- Basic computer skills for service orders and documentation
