Job Summary
Identify, troubleshoot, and correct service problems in the outside plant for both forward and return path, from the mainline through to the customer's premises. Maintain the outside plant network in a timely and effective way by addressing faults that impair Eastlink's service operations. Work safely aloft from ladders, pole gaffs, or bucket trucks near energized equipment and power lines, while manually lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 90 lbs. Handle inclement weather conditions including snow, rain, and cold, and perform tasks requiring kneeling, crouching, or working above shoulders. Reside in or relocate to the Milford, NS management area.
Required Qualifications
- Reside in or be willing to re-locate to Milford, NS
- Graduate of a recognized Electronics program
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to manually lift, push and pull up to 90 lbs
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions (including snow, rain & cold)
- Ability to kneel, crouch and work above shoulders on occasion
- Ability to work safely aloft from a ladder, pole gaffs, or bucket truck near energized equipment and/or power lines
