Job Summary
Service Technician independently performs basic/complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on John Deere agricultural/outdoor power equipment, including field repairs, while mentoring apprentices and documenting diagnostics/repairs; maintains current product knowledge and adheres to safety rules, with emphasis on delivering exceptional customer experience and supporting training programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment
- Experience using special tools and following Technical Manual procedures
- Ability to diagnose technical issues
- Experience with basic computer functions such as Service Advisor or equivalent computer based diagnostic tools
- Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Positive attitude and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends
