Service Technician - Dielectric Fleet & Equip

Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on dielectric service trucks, aerial lifts, man-lifts, and hydraulic systems. Inspect equipment for wear, safety concerns, and compliance with DOT, ANSI, and OSHA standards. Execute emergency breakdown responses, welding, fabrication, and component replacements while maintaining accurate work orders and documentation. Operate service vehicles safely and manage tool and parts inventory. Work in shop and field environments with occasional overtime and travel. Requires three years of heavy equipment or diesel mechanics experience, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment, fleet maintenance, diesel mechanics, or aerial lift equipment repair
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment using diagnostic tools and manuals
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work at heights and around moving equipment
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy machinery
- Occasional overtime, after-hours service calls, and travel
Desired Qualifications
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- ASE Certifications
- Experience with Altec, Versalift, Terex, Elliott, or other aerial equipment manufacturers
- Knowledge of dielectric industry equipment and utility fleet operations
- Hydraulic certification or specialized equipment training
- Welding and fabrication experience
