Job Summary
Technicians are responsible for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and other failures of trucks or related equipment. Duties include disassembly, repair, and reassembly of truck engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Candidates must be trained to use diagnostic tools and effectively utilize technical publications. The role requires strong attendance, punctuality, and stewardship of company tools. Mastery in various skills such as brake adjustments and inspections is essential as is maintaining required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a physical and drug and alcohol screens during pre-employment screening
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder
Desired Qualifications
- Dealership experience is preferred
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Ability to operate various computer diagnostic devices, laptops, and tablets
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to perform tasks safely and in accordance with OSHA and company rules
