Job Summary
Conduct installation and maintenance of customer-related gas utility facilities including service lines, risers, meters, and lights. Safely operate and maintain electric and gas distribution systems while prioritizing safety for self and others. Respond to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, after-hour calls, and customer complaints. Complete the applicable Apprenticeship Training Program and adhere to on-call rotations and extended service hours. Promote all products and services sold by the Company.
Required Qualifications
- High school education with vocational training or lineworker certification, or equivalent work experience acceptable to the Company
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electrical schematics
- Ability to work independently
- Valid commercial motor vehicle driver's license appropriate for the position
- Possibility to acquire a valid commercial motor vehicle driver's license appropriate for the position
- Possibility to acquire a valid Crane Operators Certification
- Ability to perform all the essential functions required of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing
- Subject to background checks
- Successful completion of the applicable Apprenticeship Training Program
- Ability to work on-call rotations
- Ability to work extended hours
- Ability to work weekends
