Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration equipment, including chillers, CO2 ventilation systems, and boilers, while performing system pump downs, evacuations, calibrations, and compressor alignments. Handle ammonia and Halo-carbon systems safely, read blueprints, and communicate service findings and required actions to customers. Coordinate work order progress, scheduling, and parts needs with the Service Coordinator, ensuring all decisions align with ColdFlo standards. Maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to company vehicle policies while traveling across Sonoma and Napa County markets.
Required Qualifications
- Specific first-hand knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial refrigeration equipment i.e., Chillers, CO2 Ventilation Systems, Boilers, valves, controls, etc.
- Experience performing system and equipment pump downs, and evacuations
- Knowledge and experience performing system calibrations and start-ups, including compressor alignment skills
- Experience with safe handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and Halo-carbon (Freon) Systems
- Ability to pass a Fit Test and wear a full-face respirator
- Knowledgeable in reading blueprints, plans and specifications
- Travel is required
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience working as an operator or service technician with industrial refrigeration systems
- EPA 608 universal
- Maintain a valid driver's license
- Provide a clear DMV record that is insurable with our company vehicle insurance carrier, including no accidents, incidents, or DUI in the past 5 years (and updated annually)
- Must read, understand, and follow the requirements of the ColdFlo Motor Vehicle Policy and Vehicle Maintenance Policy
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Ability to work at heights

- RETA CIRO a Plus
- Refrigeration Trade School graduate a Plus
- Ability to participate effectively in a team atmosphere by modeling and promoting conflict resolution, diversity, ethical practices and organizational citizenship
- Make decisions based on customer needs, desires, and expectations and on ColdFlo standards, not on personal preferences, style or theory
- Effectively communicate to customers the findings of service calls and actions required to correct
- Effectively communicate with Service Coordinator regarding work order progress, scheduling, customer needs, parts and materials needed, quotes, etc.
- Participate in company-sponsored programs to maintain or improve driver safety
