Job Summary
Manage work schedules by making appointments with customers, picking up parts from the factory, and verifying parts against orders. Perform essential repairs on sold manufactured homes, including trim work, roofing, window replacement, drywall, siding, flooring, plumbing, and electrical systems. Maintain the company vehicle, keep tools stocked, and complete work orders by returning them to the factory via mail or personal delivery. This 100% travel role involves servicing homes in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Required Qualifications
- 100% travel, mostly out of state servicing, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and other states near by that are not listed
- Possess carpentry skills in the following areas: Trim work, Roofing, Window replacement, Door realignment, Drywall repairs, Siding, Flooring, Plumbing, electrical
- Proficient home repair skills
- Repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, door/cabinet hardware
- Maintain company tools and materials
- Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
- Demonstrate strong customer relation skills
- Ability to troubleshoot, reason and solve problems
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Understand and execute instructions
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Understand and comply with work safety policies and procedures
- Must provide valid driver's license and hold clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and pass a drug test
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
