Job Summary
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. Conducts diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and AMS products, participates in Service EDUCATE training, maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products, and ensures proper condition of vehicles, tools, and inventory. Maintains a neat, safe work area, adheres to safety rules, completes required reports/forms, and accurately accounts for time and materials. Requires ability to lift 75 lbs and operate diagnostic tools; HS diploma or equivalent is required with an Associates degree preferred; valid driver’s license; forklift license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Basic Service Technician certification preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferred
- Valid drivers license is required
- Forklift license preferred
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
