Job Summary
Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established AMS products. Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs. Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products. Maintains vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment; ensures clean, safe work area and completes required reports and timecard entries. Uses Service Advisor and basic computer functions. Requires 1+ year of service repair experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and ability to lift 75 lbs. Valid driver’s license required; forklift license and/or associate degree preferred. Environment includes indoor/outdoor work with variable temperatures; follows safety rules and regulations and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using tools following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
- Valid drivers license is required
