Job Summary
Perform technical service on vehicles and equipment, including troubleshooting, electrical, and diagnostic services. Read repair orders to execute general and detailed repairs on trucks, engines, and components such as injectors, pistons, and transmissions. Examine protective guards and safety devices, lubricate moving parts, and verify repairs by driving vehicles to conformance specifications. Advise service staff on additional work needs, tag return warranty parts, and maintain a safe work environment using company tools. This role offers a performance-based Technician Incentive pay plan, CDL and renewal cost coverage, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match. Applicants must have 1-2 years of diesel technician experience, a valid driver's license, and relevant technical certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Positive attitude
- Motivated with mechanical aptitude
- 1-2 years minimum work experience as a Medium and/or Heavy Diesel Technician
- Valid driver's license
- Must possess a full set of personal hand tools
- Must have, or be able to develop through training, a detailed knowledge of commercial truck and engine repair
- Must have successfully completed appropriate diesel/automotive certificate programs in repairs and service, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Able to use a personal computer and basic applications
- Minimum of High School Diploma/ GED, Vocational or Technical certification in vehicle repair is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with International, Isuzu, Ford, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, CAT, Allison, or other brand experience such as Freightliner, Volvo, Mack, Kenworth or Peterbilt are encouraged to apply!
