Job Summary
Meet with the Service Manager daily to review service requests and execute regular preventative maintenance programs. Diagnose and repair issues across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems while ensuring code compliance. Complete make-ready checklists for apartment turnovers within budget and five business days, managing inventory of tools and parts. Walk and inspect the community daily to maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities, reporting unsafe conditions immediately. Monitor equipment and security systems, schedule preventative maintenance, and assist with capital improvement projects. Work on-call shifts to respond to resident and property emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six (6) months of work experience or training in maintenance
- Previous work experience in multi-family property maintenance
- Working knowledge of and experience in drywall, electrical, carpentry, flooring, plumbing, painting, appliances, HVAC, and lock change
- Experience in capital improvement projects and remodeling
- HVAC type 1 and type 2 certifications
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) certification
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Innovative approach to problem solving and troubleshooting

- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as well as city, state, and federal codes

- Ability to work varying hours and promptly respond to emergency situations
- Valid driver's license
