Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and full repairs on diesel and gaseous generators (50kw - 2mw), parallel systems, and Automatic Transfer Switches. Diagnose AC/DC circuits, ignition components, and fuel injection systems while conducting load bank testing to verify performance and code compliance. Lead startup and commissioning for new generator installations following manufacturer protocols. Manage field service requests, local travel, and project support while operating remotely from home to handle inventory, equipment, and digital job reporting. Requires at least two years of experience with generator engines, electrical systems, and complex mechanical repairs. Hourly rate up to $35/hr with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of troubleshooting generator engines, diesel engines, AC/DC electrical systems, ATS equipment, and/or performing complex mechanical repairs
