Service Technician

Job Summary

Troubleshoot DDC control and mechanical systems, calibrate, repair, and operate controls hardware, software, and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including database back-ups, control system analysis, network optimization, and central equipment performance testing. Replace failed components as necessary and modify or create project-specific controls programming. Act as a liaison to supervisors, service coordinators, account managers, and customers. Carry a 24-hour pager as scheduled. Requires an associate degree in applied technologies, DDC control knowledge, and an Electrical-06A license. Full-time exempt role with Monday-Friday schedule, 50% local travel, and company vehicle provided.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree or certificate in an Applied Technologies field
  • Knowledge of DDC Control Theory & Applications
  • Exposure to electronics and basic electrical circuits
  • Exposure to basic programming concepts
  • Practice working with mechanical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting basic and complex problems
  • Electrical-06A license
  • Local travel up to 50-percent of the time
  • Minimum license and driving record requirements
  • Ability to lift and exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally
  • Comfortable climbing a ladder regularly
