Job Summary
Repair and maintain industrial machinery by disassembling units, replacing malfunctioning components, and fabricating new parts through cutting, welding, and assembly. Diagnose equipment issues by observing operations, analyzing test results, and studying schematics, then reassemble and clean machinery to verify repairs. Record all materials used, order requisitions, and organize the rental area and service space while managing tool inventory. Demonstrate equipment functions to operators and perform any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager. Typical Monday-Friday 8-5 hours with overtime and travel as needed; exposure to warehouse environments, fumes, and heavy lifting up to 55lbs required.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including machine and/or tool design, uses and maintenance requirements/history
- Must be able to apply proper principles, techniques and procedures to the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery or equipment
- Must be able to determine cause of operating errors and decide how to correct the issue(s)
- Must be able to discern what type and frequency of required maintenance is needed on industrial machinery or equipment
- Must be able to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Must be able to interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers
- Must be able to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
- Must be able to lift up to 55lbs as required
- Proper lifting techniques required
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of Trade School Certificate Program or Associates Degree preferred
