Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair commercial laundry equipment at work-out facilities, hospitals, and motels. Install replacement parts as needed and assist install crews with equipment installations and deliveries. Accurately document all service activities, including time and materials, and travel activities, including mileage and fuel purchases. Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair work to ensure satisfaction and coordinate with the service manager, parts department, and vendors. Maintain tools, service equipment, and the company-supplied vehicle. Perform substantial travel within the Utica, NY territory, with some overnight travel required during special projects. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of mechanical repair experience
- Working knowledge of electrical testing tools and/or other diagnostic/programing tools
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Ability to self-manage workload and multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Resilient
- Strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, climb, and use manual dexterity
- Must be able to talk and hear
- Must be able to use hands to manipulate objects or controls
