Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on gate and door systems, crash-rated barriers, and CCTV equipment at residential and commercial sites. Weld, wire, and program customer equipment while ensuring workplace safety and maintaining job site security. Close out service calls in Service Titan, document scope of work, and manage truck inventory by ordering specialized parts and tools. Requires a high school diploma, three years of field service experience with low-voltage electrical systems or gate operators, and a valid driver's license. OSHA 10-Hour Certification and welding principles familiarity are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 3 or more years working with gate operators, electronic controls, or other low-voltage electrical systems, or similar trade-related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle report
- Able to communicate effectively in written and oral format with diverse individuals
- Able to present information and respond to questions with peers, managers, clients, customers, and the general public on technical subjects
- Able to read and comprehend written work instructions, technical documents, blueprints, manufacturer instruction manuals and other materials in English
- Able to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using standard units of measure and weight
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to develop logical troubleshooting techniques based on an understanding of the product performance and test requirements
- Able to track and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with several simultaneous projects/work orders
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of email, texting, and work order systems sufficient for basic communication, reporting, and notes
- Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout the day
- Able to stand, climb, walk, kneel, and crouch frequently, as required at a variety of customer locations/work sites
- Able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods of time and possess a clean driving record
- Frequent day travel to and from job sites, vendor locations, and offices
Desired Qualifications
- Overhead door, CCTV, gate operator, electrical or welding experience
- Associates degree or vocational program with a focus on electro-mechanical systems
- Familiarity with basic welding principles
- At least 2 year of field service-related experience working on-site at customer locations and interacting with customers
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification
