Job Summary
Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards, diagnosing malfunctions and executing fixes while communicating with the Parts Department. Supervise apprentice technicians, document all completed work, and conduct road tests to quality-check repairs, ensuring customer vehicles remain clean and are not used for personal errands. Advise the Service Advisor immediately regarding additional work needs or repair limitations. Maintain a neat shop area, account for all tools, and adhere to safety regulations and technical bulletins.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a service technician or in a related automotive repair role
- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to perform repairs accurately
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor apprentice technicians
- Proficiency with automotive repair tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
