Job Summary
Perform service, repair, and accessory installation on new and used trailers, truck beds, tow vehicles, and snowplows. Examine, test, adjust, and repair bearings, lights, wiring, and brake assemblies while replacing defective parts. Engage with customers to sell parts, discuss repairs, and explain installations, including assisting with trailer hookups and visual safety inspections. Confer via phone or in person to write work orders, estimate costs, and plan procedures using technical manuals and diagrams. Maintain service schedules, complete paperwork and computer system entries, and manage parts inventory through purchasing, receiving, and cycle counts. Work Monday through Saturday with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proven ability to weld (MIG and oxy-acetylene)
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be available to work Monday – Saturday and overtime as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree, Trade School Diploma preferred
- 2-3 years applicable work experience preferred
