Job Summary
As a DeWALT Service Technician, you’ll work on-site in a production-style environment repairing portable electric and pneumatic tools, construction equipment, and outdoor products. You will troubleshoot tool failures, partially or fully disassemble units to inspect components, replace worn or defective parts, and perform safety and performance testing after repairs. You’ll maintain a clean, safe work environment, inspect and repair tools for safe operation, process work orders with parts and labor details, and manage inventory to ensure accuracy of parts and accessories. The role supports achieving daily productivity goals and may include other duties as assigned. The position emphasizes on-the-job training, learning opportunities through Lean Academy and Coursera, and growth within a global leader in tooling and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- On-the-job training provided
- experience preferred but not required
- Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics and printed servicing data
- Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to a power source for power tools
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
- Goal driven mentality
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptability in using various technological systems and familiarity with data entry and record-keeping systems
