Job Summary

Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy by painting, drywall repair, trash removal, and executing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical fixes. Perform daily service requests for residents and conduct system repairs on HVAC, boilers, and appliances. Execute detailed carpentry, flooring work, and preventative maintenance while cleaning pools and managing grounds upkeep. Utilize company apps, a personal vehicle, and the on-call rotation to maintain property integrity and support asset value.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 + years maintenance experience
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms
  • Able to climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
  • Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kilograms
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems
  • Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong motivation to learn & contribute on a daily basis
  • Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
  • Working knowledge of English
  • Detail oriented, well organized
  • Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation, at all times
  • Driver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired at all times and match the country in which associate will work
  • Must utilize Weidner issued cell phone and specified apps as part of your daily role
  • Must use personal vehicle to go between properties as assigned during work hours
  • Must take part in the on-call rotation, as scheduled
  • Able to work overtime as requested
  • Willing and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed
  • Prompt, regular attendance

  • Wear company dress code/uniform & maintain professional appearance at all times
  • Work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment and/or independently

Desired Qualifications

  • 1 + years of painting and drywall repairs
  • EPA certification
  • Experienced in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Yardi and Paycom experience
  • Willing and able to learn new software programs
