Job Summary
Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy by painting, repairing drywall, and addressing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues. Execute daily maintenance requests for residents while performing system repairs on HVAC, boilers, and appliances. Conduct detailed carpentry, flooring work, and pool maintenance including chemical balancing and logkeeping. Manage preventative maintenance schedules, grounds upkeep, and snow removal as assigned. Utilize company apps, operate a personal vehicle between properties, and participate in the on-call rotation. Work independently with moderate supervision in a fast-paced environment, adhering to safety protocols and Weidner policies.
Required Qualifications
- 1 + years maintenance experience
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms
- Able to climb ladders and climb multiple flights of stairs at a time
- Able to use appliance dolly, push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kilograms
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to be on feet constantly for entire work shift
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, appliances, building systems, irrigation systems, and HVAC systems
- Able to give professional directions clearly in person, over the phone, email, and text
- Working knowledge of English
- Detail oriented
- Well organized
- Must agree to a criminal background check
- Willing and able to sign an agreement for voluntary drug testing
- Must have access to personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation
- Driver's license, vehicle and vehicle insurance must be valid and unexpired
- Able to work overtime as requested
- Willing and able to be assigned to other Weidner properties as needed
- Prompt, regular attendance
- Willing and able to wear company dress code/uniform & maintain professional appearance
- Willing and able to learn new software programs
Desired Qualifications
- 1 + years of painting and drywall repairs
- EPA certification
- Experienced in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Yardi and Paycom experience
