Job Summary
Service Technician for an apartment community responsible for completing maintenance work orders and apartment turns, assisting with preventative maintenance, communicating needs to property managers, maintaining safety and quality standards, managing tools and inventory, and delivering excellent customer service to residents and team members. The role uses AppFolio for work-order tracking, may involve on-call rotations, and includes monthly commission opportunities tied to renewals and turn completions. Be part of a property upgrade including a brand-new clubhouse and newly renovated units. The position is full-time, with typical hours 8-5 on weekdays plus on-call rotation every third week.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and general maintenance skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb ladders while carrying equipment
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- A team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
