Job Summary
Service Tech responsible for safely performing propane tank sets, installations, leak and pressure tests, and repairs on gas-burning appliances in compliance with codes. Duties include delivering, setting, and installing propane tanks and gas lines, driving a van/boom truck for deliveries, conducting system leak/pressure tests, troubleshooting and repairing appliances, maintaining safety and regulatory standards, completing gas check forms, and delivering customer safety information. Must load/unload and operate gasoline-powered equipment to install gas lines; requires strong customer service, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and ability to work in confined spaces such as crawl spaces and attics. CDL with Hazmat endorsement and prior industry experience are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- Must have customer service skills
- Must be able to climb in and out of the back of a service truck
- Must be able to sense sound (hearing a pressure leak)
- Sense of smell (odorant in propane)
- Must be able to work in enclosed areas such as crawl spaces and attic
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry loads up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, crawl, kneel
- Previous experience in the industry is a plus
