Job Summary
Assess service tickets for flooring or wall material installation needs, then take precise measurements to determine required materials. Cut, assemble, and install flooring materials—tile, LVP, wood, or carpet—according to design specifications, ensuring surfaces are flat, plumb, level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing. Troubleshoot and repair existing installations, including loose tiles, cracked grout, or damaged carpet, while providing recommendations for upgrades. Communicate effectively with teams and customers to address concerns and maintain professional working relationships. Follow company safety policies and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Legal work authorization requirements
- Valid drivers license
- 1-year related experience and/or equivalent training, or both
- Attention to detail a must
- Knowledge of different flooring types and installation techniques
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Customer orientated approach
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and team members, including in busy or noisy environments
- Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50+ pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) throughout the workday
- Requires travel to job sites and local offices
- Requires use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
