Job Summary
Respond to all resident work order requests to quickly diagnose and correct HVAC, appliance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing issues. Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and inspect the community daily to identify items needing repair. Assist in preparing units for move-in and clear snow and ice during inclement weather. Work a flexible schedule sharing on-call duty requiring emergency responses within 30 minutes. Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This role supports JBG SMITH's mission to shape inspiring places in the Washington, DC area.
Required Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or similar environment
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and appliances
- Working knowledge of plumbing fixtures
- Basic electrical circuitry knowledge
- Skilled in the use of power and hand tools
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Professional presentation
