Job Summary
Plans, directs, and supervises daily store operations across various departments, serving as the mentor and coach for all team members. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and maintain store appearance during prime hours. Responsible for staffing, hiring, and succession planning while managing P&L, achieving sales targets, and controlling shrink. Ensures thorough training completion, promotes a safe work environment, and delivers courteous service to customers and staff. Documents disciplinary actions and communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all meetings. Requires one year of management experience, high school diploma, and ability to analyze financial data.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Successful completion of all required certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli
- customer service and product flow experience
