Job Summary
Meet regularly with Funeral Directors to ensure customer needs are met and frequently communicate with families to coordinate activities. Take first calls and dispatch removal teams, collect vital information, file death certificates and insurance claims, and schedule appointments for Funeral Directors. Design and print memorials, create arrangement documents, order merchandise, and schedule services by coordinating with churches, cemeteries, and staff. Assist with setting up funeral areas, dressing and casketing the deceased, transporting remains to the crematory, and delivering ashes back to the home. Adhere to all company and regulatory requirements while performing other administrative duties as time permits. This role requires working beyond standard business hours, including weekends, and involves sitting for up to six hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good driving record and valid driver's license
- 2 years of experience in an office clerical or customer service capacity
- Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced professional environment
- Strong knowledge of computers and software
- Above average communication skills
- High level of compassion and integrity
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to multi task and set priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work beyond standard business hours including weekends
