Job Summary
Lead and support shop and field service operations for heavy mining equipment at the Williams Lake branch. Schedule, assign, and coordinate daily work scopes for shop and field technicians and welders; provide visible safety leadership through toolbox talks and mentorship; communicate with customers to provide progress updates and align on expectations; prepare, review, and approve repair quotes; oversee work in progress and complete final inspections to ensure quality, safety, and warranty standards; ensure timely completion of work orders and service reports; collaborate with parts, warranty, and administrative teams to support efficient job flow; support technician development through coaching in a fast-paced service environment.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyperson certification in a relevant trade (Heavy Equipment Technician or similar)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the mining industry
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience within a mining or industrial service environment
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of OH&S regulations, warranty processes, and repair best practices
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to manage expectations and resolve issues professionally
- Welding experience and strong technical background considered assets
