Job Summary
Supervise tire bay operations by managing team members, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing proper tire installation, mounting, rotating, and balancing. Install, sell, and repair tires while coordinating special orders, maintaining inventory, and handling cash transactions. Monitor sales, manage equipment, and conduct audits to drive performance and profitability. Lead team development through coaching, training, and performance appraisals to foster a culture of collaboration and GOLD Member Standards. Complete required Michelin certifications and maintain accurate records for all team members.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of tires, batteries, propane tanks, and tire bay equipment
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results
- Any person working as a Manager on Duty in the State of Florida must be able to successfully complete and hold a qualifier certification, through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
- Any person overseeing retail propane operations must hold a qualifier certification
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or college degree preferred
- Prior tire installation and sales experience preferred
- Level 400 certified technician preferred
