Job Summary
Manage tire bay operations by supervising team members, ensuring proper scheduling, and overseeing the installation, sale, and repair of tires including mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing. Handle cash transactions, maintain accurate inventory and equipment, and coordinate special-order tire programs while adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards. Lead team training through the Michelin certification process, conduct performance appraisals, and resolve member concerns to uphold GOLD club standards. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and completion of state qualifier certification for propane operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of tires, batteries, propane tanks, and tire bay equipment
- Ability to lift over 30 pounds with assistance
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire
- Demonstrates leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results
- Regular, predictable, full attendance
- Any person working as a Manager on Duty in the State of Florida must be able to successfully complete and hold a qualifier certification, through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
- Any person overseeing retail propane operations must hold a qualifier certification
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or college degree preferred
- Prior tire installation and sales experience preferred
- Level 400 certified technician preferred
