Job Summary
Oversees and performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality; handles resident work orders, diagnoses defects, and completes repairs; manages the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-out inspections and vendor coordination; develops maintenance standards for all community areas, inspects work for quality, maintains inventory, and supports budgeting and cost-control efforts; conducts regular safety meetings, ensures OSHA/MSDS compliance, and delivers strong customer service to residents and team members; requires EPA HVAC certifications if applicable, and a valid driver’s license for on-property duties; the role includes flexible hours, travel as needed within the property, and potential bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training
- Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade
- Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable in safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems
- Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management
- Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal if HVAC work is required
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable)
