Job Summary
Set up conferences, move furniture, and handle minor repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Manage receiving and delivery functions while policing properties and enforcing facility policies. Provide quality customer service to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Respond to emergencies, attend safety meetings, and use work order systems and smart devices. Commit to working off shifts, holidays, and overtime as an essential employee. Lift up to 50 pounds and use ladders. Work the 2nd shift (Wednesday through Sunday, 3pm–11:30pm) or 3rd shift (Sunday through Thursday, 10pm–6:30am) at $20.84/hour with a shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret instructions labels, safety precautions, etc.
- Ability to work well with others and to maintain positive customer relations
- Satisfactory work record including favorable attendance record
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
- Complete lift training and obtain certification, as provided by the University
- Willingness to work off shifts, holidays, and overtime as necessary
- Must have the physical stamina to work long hours and/or more than 5 days per week
- Able to lift to fifty (50) pounds and use ladders and lifts
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require sponsorship now or in the future
