Job Summary

Welcome guests warmly and professionally, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their dining experience. Deliver attentive, personalized service in line with Omotenashi principles by guiding guests through menus, explaining dishes, ingredients, and Japanese dining traditions. Maintain strong knowledge of seasonal menus, allergens, and dietary requirements to take accurate orders and communicate modifications to kitchen and bar teams. Serve food and beverages promptly while managing assigned tables efficiently, anticipating needs and maintaining clean, organized presentations. Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to feedback, and coordinate closely with service teams to ensure smooth operations. Support opening and closing procedures, process bills accurately, and uphold high standards of hygiene and food safety.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a guest-facing restaurant service role, such as Waiter, Chef de Rang, or Service Specialist
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant service procedures, order taking, table management, service sequence, billing, and guest care
  • Ability to confidently explain menu items, preparation methods, flavour profiles, allergens, dietary options, and chef's recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, engaging, respectful, and professional approach
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service with discretion and attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, service, and management teams
  • Ability to manage assigned tables or sections while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and consistent service standards
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Confidence in handling guest requests, feedback, and service-related concerns appropriately
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in table presentation, menu knowledge, guest interaction, and the overall dining experience
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and safely carry trays, tableware, and service equipment
  • Oral proficiency in English
  • Well-presented, polite, professional, respectful, and composed at all times
  • Eligibility to work in EU countries

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Japanese, Asian, premium, fine-dining, luxury, or lifestyle restaurant environments
  • Genuine interest in Japanese cuisine, culture, ingredients, dining traditions, culinary trends, and the art of hospitality
  • Knowledge of additional languages
