Job Summary
Diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services, and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment at customer sites or BWE locations. Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports, including machine inspection reports and technical analysis reports. Maintain professional image while ensuring safe work practices and controlling contamination. Manage administrative tasks such as labour booking, service reports, part returns, and expenses. Follow through to ensure quality and productivity standards are consistently maintained. Requires a qualified Diesel or Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic with at least five years of experience, a Grade 12, and a valid Code B driver's licence.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of working experience
- Machine specific technical knowledge and skills
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic technical report writing
- Basic business and financial understanding
- Some computer literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge
- Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
- Applicable product knowledge
- Driver's licence – Code B
- Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedures
