Job Summary
The Service Specialist will provide first-level support and coordination for digital building systems and IoT deployments, manage and resolve incident and project tickets, and communicate status to stakeholders. Responsibilities include coordinating between technical teams, on-site personnel, and external vendors; monitoring building management systems (BMS), IoT devices, HVAC, and lighting across multiple buildings; generating reports on ticket volumes and performance metrics; and supporting preventative maintenance while ensuring compliance with client standards. The role requires strong ticket/incident management, stakeholder communication, project coordination, and documentation skills, with a focus on continuous improvement within the Digital Buildings Services group at FPC.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-7 years in a technical support, incident management, or digital operations role (IoT solutions, systems integration, or related industries preferred).
- Education: Bachelor's degree or certification in IT, engineering, building technology, or related field.
- Certifications: Basic IT support or BMS-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITF+, or IoT certifications) advantageous.
- Ticket and Incident Management: Proficiency with ticketing systems and ability to track, resolve, and report incidents.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills for clear, timely updates with internal/external stakeholders.
- Coordination and Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for coordinating across teams.
- Problem Solving: Diagnostic skills to identify and resolve minor issues and escalate as needed.
- Project Coordination: Ability to coordinate project reviews and lessons learnt for continual improvement.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work within a centralized team and coordinate with on-site and cross-functional teams.
- Tools: Proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
