Service Shuttle Driver/Lot Porter

Job Summary
Drive customers to or from their homes or offices while service is performed on their vehicles, keeping a timely shuttle route and using safe driving skills. Assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles, operate communication devices to report service disruptions, and maintain records of trips including passenger names and destinations. Notify dispatchers of vehicle maintenance needs and ensure the service drive area remains clean and safe. Greet customers, control service traffic flow, place interior protection, tag keys, and move vehicles to parking areas while advising management of any items left inside. Perform light lifting duties and scan repair orders as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST, NO MEDICAL CARDS!
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
