Job Summary
The Service Shop Assistant supports the daily operations of the service shop by assisting technicians, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and performing basic maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include loading and unloading customer equipment, staging equipment for technicians, cleaning equipment before and after service, keeping the shop, yard, and work areas orderly, and performing maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacement, and air filter checks. The role also involves assisting with parts handling and shop organization, and working as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented service environment. Requirements include high school or equivalent preferred, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to use hand tools and shop equipment safely, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow safety procedures.
